FINCA provides financial services to the world’s lowest-income entrepreneurs to create their own jobs, build assets and improve their standard of living. FINCA operates programs in 21 countries of Latin America, Eurasia, Central Asia and Africa, and is best known for pioneering “village banking,†which brings together ten to thirty people –mostly women – who guarantee small loans for each other to create their own businesses. Loans are a renewable resource impacting entire communities.
