Already during its short term of existence, over 1 million people have benefited from InFOCUS DEVELOPED TECHNOLOGY AND SERVICES from lowered risks for mortality to improvements in aspects of the quality of life. Most importantly, InFOCUS has demonstrated a model for provisions of care which is economical and consequential in reduction of visual and ophthalmic morbidity. InFOCUS research with victims of land mines and natural disasters has clearly demonstrated how improved vision can reduce risks.
