Partners for Democratic Change has pioneered a model to ensure that local people have the skills to solve local problems by establishing locally staffed Centers for Change and Conflict Management in developing countries. This model delivers better results for the people in developing nations for two reasons: 1) As permanent institutions, Centers cultivate trust which is pivotal in resolving conflicts; 2) Centers can adapt conflict management programs to their own cultural context, enabling long-term transformations.
