The Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund is a leading national civil rights law and policy center. There is no paternalism toward disabled people at DREDF because it is directed by individuals with disabilities. I like DREDF's approach: they prefer to educate, train, and negotiate; litigation is the last resort. DREDF has been phenomenal in designing and strengthening public policy on disability, and has been a leader in advancing opportunities for people with disabilities.
