As FARA’s Executive Secretary, I am fully dedicated to leading FARA toward achieving Africa’s goal of 6% annual growth in agriculture by 2020. Since its establishment, FARA has been very active and dynamic in supporting the African sub-regional research organizations to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of the national agricultural research systems in Africa. Since FARA’s creation African ARD is revitalized and there is more emphasis on African agriculture support from our international partners.
