Planes:There are several airports to fly into in order to get to the conference: The largest and closest airport is Boston's Logan International Aiport (BOS). Just about every domestic airline flies into Logan; you can see a list of airlines flying into Logan here. There are also two other airports in the area if you feel like taking a drive -- they're a bit further away, but it's possible to fly low-cost carriers such as Southwest. Try Providence's Green Airport (PVD) (with a list of airlines here) or Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) (with a list of airlines here) for lower fares, though you'll have to rent a car and drive to Boston. Note: If you're traveling from Columbus (OH), Fort Myers (FL), Greensboro/Winston-Salem/High Point (NC), or Jacksonville (FL), you can check a new low-cost airline, Skybus for super-low ($100) fares. Trains:Amtrak serves the Boston area. You can take the train to either the Back Bay or the South Station stops, though Back Bay is closer to the campus. After arriving by train, Northeastern is accessible by subway via the Green Line (the Northeastern stop on the E line) or the Orange Line (Ruggles Station stop). Commuter rail lines connect with the Orange Line at Back Bay Station, Ruggles Station, and North Station. Check out the MBTA site for a map. Most of the conference will be taking place in the Curry Student Center, which is building 50 on this map, and is directly across from the subway line. RideShare:One great way to cut costs for the conference (and to be more environmentally friendly) is to share a ride with others. We have launched a discussion thread on the conference Facebook group to facilitate that process. Add the group here, and feel free to join in the conversation!! ParkingDirections to come soon! LodgingHostelOne of this year's lead sponsors is Hostelling International, and we're fortunate to have an HI hostel right in the heart of Boston. We encourage you to make a reservation at the Boston Hostel and experience why hostelling is so great! Rates for the conference block of rooms are $34.99 for a dorm bed and $79.99 for a private room. To make a reservation at the hostel and secure a bed in the conference block, please contact the Group Sales Manager, Erica Lagios, directly. She can be reached via email at groupsales@bostonhostel.org. Be sure to reference that you're attending the IMPACT Conference! HotelAdditionally, we have made arrangements for special rates at each of the following hotels. Make reservations by February 6 and reference "IMPACT Conference" to get special rate. For more details about each of these hotels, we encourage you to go directly to the websites of those hotels as well as to check out various hotel review websites. In addition to these hotels, you might want to check several others in the area to see if you can find lower rates. You should also use an online travel site like Kayak or Travelocity to see if there are hotels to suit your specific travel needs. All of these hotels are listed as under $150 and within two miles of the campus, though the Conference Planning Committee has no relationship with these establishments: Regardless of where you stay and how you get there, we encourage you to use public transportation to get to campus.
