The Planning Committee is thrilled to report that there were over 900 students, campus administrators, year of service members, and nonprofit professionals in attendance. We gathered together to share the good work happening on campuses and in communities across the country, and to challenge one another to continue working toward a more just world. To get a better sense of what happened at the IMPACT Conference, please see the conference blog or read the conference program/agenda! The IMPACT Conference is historically the largest convening in the country of campus community members involved in service, activism, politics, advocacy, and other socially responsible work across philosophical and ideological lines. This event builds on the legacy set forth by the COOL Conference and the Idealist Campus Conference, spanning an incredible 23-year history. The conference is the one time during the year that college students, nonprofit professionals, campus administrators, and year of service members meet together to share their experiences, stories, and resources in their work for social change. Conference attendees gather across philosophies, ideologies, issues, geography, and approaches to social change -- it is, indeed, a unique collection of young people and the professional staff who support them! |
