In India, women like Raimuni fear their daughters will do no better than they: marrying too young, struggling through frequent pregnancies, and suffering with malnutrition, anemia, and discrimination. But Freedom from Hunger is bringing women’s groups knowledge about their health and their rights. Equipped with this knowledge and the social support of their self-help group, mothers like Raimuni can stand strong and show their daughters the way to a better future.
