Problem

The U.S. has 5% of the world's population, but produces 25% of the world's incarcerated population. 25% of the world's global warming gases come from here too. How are they related?

Proximity to the exhausts from trucking and energy production has been shown to cause learning disabilities in children. That, and the lack of local entry level jobs keep people in the jail system.

Good-paying jobs that clean the environment do the opposite.

The 10-week course empowers formerly unemployed people to move their lives and our environment forward in a positive way that ripples across families, communities, and society.
