Help Build a Schoolroom:Darfur

Problem

The conflict in Darfur has torn communities apart. Thousands have died. Millions have fled. Entire villages have been burned and destroyed – including schools. For too many kids in Darfur, getting an education is currently impossible. They have no supplies. Their teachers are gone. There are no schools left to attend.
When the conflict in Darfur finally ends, so many children, deprived of education, might not possess the knowledge or skills to bounce back from what’s happened to them.

The Gift

Your gift of $5,500 will give a group of kids in Darfur the opportunity to learn. With $5,500 we can rebuild a schoolroom that was destroyed. We can fill it with tables, chairs and a blackboard. We can train a teacher. And, we can get kids pencils, notebooks, clean water and hot, nutritious meals, so they can study hard.

$5,500 will give an entire village of kids an opportunity for a different future – the chance to rebound from everything they’ve suffered in Darfur over the last few years.
