The Freecycle Network OverviewSimply put, Freecycle makes it easier to locally give items away on a cyber-curbside than it is to throw them away. In doing so, Freecycle members are keeping over 300 tons a day out of landfills as they "change the world one gift at a time." This is the equivalent of over four times the height of Mt Everest when stacked in garbage trucks in the past year alone. Freecycle.org has since been nominated to PC Mag's top 101 websites list and has become the largest recycling and reuse website in the world. MissionOur mission is to build a worldwide gifting movement that reduces waste, saves precious resources & eases the burden on our landfills while enabling our members to benefit from the strength of a larger community. ProgramsOur programs are globally local. Join a local Freecycle group to find out what's happening in your community. Membership is free and local group moderation is done by local volunteers.
