Problem

Bangladesh experienced a bad cyclone on the night of
the 15th of November. It hit 15 districts of which Borguna, Patuakhali, Bagerhat, Bhola, Madaripur and Barisal are worst affected. Estimates put the death toll over 3,000 but it is expected to rise further. Crops on 23,122 acres of land have been destroyed, and 242,000 livestock were killed, hampering thousands of farmers' production.

The Gift

This gift will provide one poultry worker with feed, chicks, and shed maintenance assistance. Replacing the loss in livestock and poultry will help restore the livelihood of the thousands of people affected by the cyclone.
