Adolescents living in West Africa face more obstacles to their success than almost any other children in the world. With limited access to education and scare economic opportunities, these young adults suffer from the problems affecting their communities. Yet Tostan believes that they can play an active and substantial role in their communities’ development. The Tostan program equips adolescents with the knowledge, skills, and experience to improve their lives and those of future generations.
