Water-related diseases are the leading cause of death in the world. Today, more than 1.1 billion people around the world have no access to clean drinking water. Unless action is taken, the number of people who lack access could increase to 2.3 billion by 2025. As many as 135 million people will die from water-related diseases by 2020 unless changes are made.
