Rape and sexual assaults are crimes that affect 1 in 6 women in their lifetime. Research has shown the following affects of a sexual assault:
- Major Depressive Disorder affects an estimated 1/3 of all rape victims, often for an extended period of time.
-1/3 of women who are raped contemplated suicide and 17% attempted suicide.
- 94% of women who are raped experienced symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
- Victims of rape are 13.4 times more likely to develop alcohol-related problems.

The Gift

Your $25 donation will provide one support group session supervised by a licensed therapist or intern for victims of sexual assault. The support group provides a safe environment where victims of sexual assault can talk openly about their experiences and find comfort in knowing that they are not alone.
