Problem

Orphan International’s dynamic family care model for orphans is improving the lives of children in Haiti, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and soon Tanzania. In Sri Lanka, the community center provides computer classes, English classes, and a library for our 47 orphans and over 300 additional poor children in the community. There is only a handful of books on the shelves. Books did not survive the waves of the tsunami. Books are too heavy to transport, so we must buy them retail in Columbo, the capital.

The Gift

This gift will provide a nice, high quaity, children's book for our library. A critical part of OI’s mission is for orphans to be educated in their own communities. The library at the community center serves our orphans and all the poor children. Your donation will help make the Kathaluwa community Center library a thriving place for life-long learning and enrichment for orphans and their friends.
