The Gift
Operation Healthy Reunions is a first-of-its-kind program that educates soldiers, their families, and medical staff about mental health issues to decrease stigma and ensure that military families receive the prompt and high-quality care they deserve. In partnership with the leading military organizations and local care providers, NMHA distributes educational materials on such topics as reuniting with your spouse and children, adjusting after war, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder.
NMHA also partners with other national and local organizations, including our national network of affiliates, to reach out to veterans through educational materials, such as brochures and fact sheets, and also through local employers, churches, schools and recreational centers. In the field of mental health, knowledge is key to eliminating the devastating effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other mental health disorders.
