Problem

Some highly promising research to combat age-related molecular and cellular damage is dramatically underfunded.

Some examples:

1) removal of undegradable "junk" that accumulates within the lysosomes of cells and...
2) protecting mitochondrial DNA from damage by placing it in the nucleus.

We are funding research in both these areas, but not at an adequate level. We also need to fund research in several other areas, such as eliminating cells that accumulate to undesirable levels.

The Gift

We currently have teams of researchers performing cutting-edge science and addressing some of the fundamental forms of damage that contributes to age-related disease.

Your gift will allow us to fund three months of the stipend of one of the researchers racing to develop these therapies. It will help us to accelerate the development of therapies for age-related disease. We have assembled some exceptional and talented individuals and you will help them express their passion and potential with your contribution.

You may wonder how we can fund this research so cheaply. Part of the reason is that every dollar we receive is supplemented by 50 cents from Peter Thiel, co-founder of PayPal. Also, we've worked really hard to minimise bureaucratic overheads. And finally, our researchers are truly committed to the mission of saving so many lives and are not driven by financial motivations.
