Problem

The reality of our world is that there are hundreds of millions of religiously diverse young people who are interacting with increasing frequency. This interaction tends in one of two directions - conflict or cooperation. Given the realities of globalization – including increased contact through media, technology and travel – as well as the diversity of religious beliefs world-wide – the importance of shaping a positive response to inter-religious interaction is critical.

The Gift

Your gift will provide a partial scholarship for one student to attend the IFYC Annual Conference on Interfaith Youth Work.

IFYC sees student leaders as the vanguard for change not only on college campuses, but in their religious communities at-large. We want to ensure that their work on campus is effective and helps to institutionalize interfaith work, while nurturing them in ways that open doors to a lifelong commitment to interfaith work. The Annual Conference on Interfaith Youth Work provides young leaders with access to interfaith training and a variety of networking opportunities. At the conference, participants interact with interfaith practitioners, professionals, service leaders, faith community leaders, and professors, helping student leaders develop strategies to connect campuses with the communities that surround them. Through providing these opportunities and resources to participants, IFYC seeks to equip and mobilize the next generation of young leaders in the interfaith movement.
