Problem

The life expectancy of a child with hydrocephalus isn't much beyond age 5. The condition arises when fluid accumulates and puts pressure on the brain, causing the child's head to swell. Often in the developing world, children with hydrocephalus are viewed as cursed.

The Gift

This gift will provide one child with a shunt, used to drain the fluid and relieve the pressure on the brain.
