Problem

Government of India reports reveal that only 3 out of 10 girls who enter into Grade 1 complete Grade 10. At primary school level itself, over 45% of girls drop out of school and this increases to over 73% by the time the child has reached Grade X. Reasons for this dropout may be as minor as the girl child not being able to afford a uniform, shoes and socks because her family is too poor. For these girls Education remains a DISTANT DREAM.

The Gift

Your Gift will provide the under privileged girl child in India multitudinal support for a year to ensure that she enrolls in school and doesn't drop out (GRADE 1 - GRADE 7). Through PROJECT NANHI KALI she will be provided not just continuous and comprehensive ACADEMIC SUPPORT but will also be given a SCHOOLING KIT which includes uniforms, school bag, shoes & socks, under garments, notebooks, stationary etc to enable her to GO TO SCHOOL WITH DIGNITY.
