Problem

Landmines lay buried in some of the poorest communities on our planet. Left behind after conflicts, landmines and other explosive items maim and kill thousands of people every year. Landmines also hinder the development of agriculture, reconstruction of homes, transport of goods and movement of aid agencies. Cambodia, in particular, faces a severe landmine threat and is among the world's most mine-affected countries.

The Gift

A gift of $100 will help our demining teams to safely remove and destroy landmines in Cambodia. Through 2008, any gift donations received through this site will be matched by the U.S. Department of State's Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement (PM/WRA), one of the leading supporters of mine action. The donor and the recipient of the gift will be acknowledged and will have the option of receiving occasional updates on their minefield.
