A new nonprofit website, www.ChangingThePresent.org, is changing the face of charitable giving. It lets us do more than select a nonprofit to support; we can choose exactly what we want to accomplish. For just a few dollars, we can protect an acre of the rainforest, make a blind person see, or provide a child with a first book. We can even teach a woman to fish.

ChangingThePresent makes it easy to donate to many nonprofits at once and keeps all of your receipts together in a single place. Profile pages, wish lists and registries let us share our passions and interests with others, while greeting cards announce donations made in a friend's name.
