About Me:

I'm a high tech engineer as well as a lay minister and counsellor. My passion is working with homeless youth. They are a challenged and diverse set of people who don't always get a lot of help. They need time to overcome whatever has set them on the road they currently walk. Part of the job is keeping them safe while they discover their life ahead.

I Believe:

I believe that you need to give with your heart and hands as well as your pocket book. I believe that small acts all day long make the world a better place. I believe that future generations will think what we do now in terms of throw away stuff and isolated existences as completely weird and non-sensible.

Thgis gift benefits Senegal, a place I have personally visited. They need this school. When I was there they asked me to pray that they would score well on their 5th grade tests. Only the top 10% get to go on to more school because of the shortage of schools. World Vision is beyond reproach, too.

The people who are in IHN are homeless families. The know they need help so they submit to the rules of IHN and live in churches, moving to a new one every week. They get training, look for jobs, keep their kids in schools, and stay sober. There is a trememdous success rate for "graduation."

This is my favorite cause. I volunteer for Lifeworks as a counselor twice a week. The children (17 to 24) that I counsel and visit with are running away from abuse, identifies they can't deal with, etc. They need to be kept out of harms way while they figure things out. It is an honor to serve them.

I love the coulple that founded this ministry. David and Margie are amazing. David helped me grow spiritually while I was in Mexico. This ministry really works. Many prison half-way houses don't but this one does. It is easy to overlook these folks but they deserve more help.
