I always have my nose in a book. Reading is such a big part of our lives that I was stunned to learn from First Book that in most low-income communities there's only one book for every 300 children. So here's what I want to do: I want all of us to get together to provide 50 books for kids. First Book has a special deal with publishers, so you can get 5 books for just $15. The Miami Day Care Center serves 100 at-risk children, and we simply need more books. The best deal around is from a wonderful nonprofit called First Book. They have a special deal with publishers, which lets us buy new books for just $2.50 each. Please help these children learn to read by supporting this drive.

Some of my very best memories of childhood are of reading books with my parents and grandparents. Till this day books have always been a special part of my life. I feel blessed to be able to give some little one the amazing gift of reading and adventure through the written word.
