Village Earth is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable, community-based development around the world by providing innovative training, consultation, appropriate technology information, and project support services.
This gift will provide a doctor visit for our school as well as medicine, and health education, so students can get treated before a condition becomes serious, or referred to a hospital when it is serious. Our weekly clinics have helped hundreds, and are valued by the community. more
This gift will provide a teacher 5 days per week for 1 class for 1 month to teach English, career preparation, job placement, as well as countless laughs through the month. This gift will help approximately 30 teenage students. more
This gift will provide a teacher 5 days per week for 30 children for 1 month to teach English, hygiene, and life skills, as well as provide books, supplies, provide social services and countless laughs through the month. Students are mostly 6-12 years old. more
This gift will provide a student $20 per month (Jan - July) to pay their school fees and get them through grade 12. Their final exam will be in July and this support will allow them to study and prepare for this exam. If they pass we will work to support them to go onto university if that is what they want. more
This gift will provide a working computer at one of our schools, including a monitor, keyboard and mouse. It will be used to teach multiple students throughout the day. Courses include MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Typing, and Email. more
Village Earth's Adopt-A-Buffalo campaign helps Lakota families reclaim their legally allotted lands from the BIA leasing system and access the resources needed to live on, protect, and utilize it, helping to return the balance between economy, ecology, and culture. more
This gift will provide the opportunity for an indigenous entrepreneur to start a small business. Village Earth has already worked with entrepreneurs in Peru to start a bread making business and a Shipibo women to start a business selling shoes in the communities. more
This gift will help purchase 25 feet of quality buffalo fencing for Lakota bison caretakers living on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. more
This gift will provide a Shipibo student to attend a local university. Many Shipibo people have expressed interest that their kids can become their own doctors, lawyers, and engineers instead of always having to rely on outside professionals. more
