Trickle Up is an international, nonprofit organization whose mission is to help very poor people worldwide take the first steps out of poverty by providing conditional seed capital, business training, and relevant support services essential to the launch or expansion of a microenterprise. AFRICA PROGRAM INTERN/VOLUNTEER FOR FRENCH TRANSLATION:
Interested in microenterprise development in Africa? Want to use your language skills to make a difference in the lives of very poor entrepreneurs? Trickle Up seeks a qualified intern/volunteer to provide French translation support for its Africa program. Tasks will include translating and adapting documents related to program implementation and strategic planning both from English to French and from French to English. The intern/volunteer will have the opportunity to hone her or his translation skills and will gain valuable knowledge of the designing and implementing of microenterprise programs in Africa.

The ideal candidate will be fully proficient in French and English, have excellent writing and communication skills, and be detail-oriented, organized and reliable. Prior translation experience is preferred but not required.

Start date is as soon as possible. The internship is available for a period of three months and may be extended by mutual agreement. The position will require on average 10-20 hours per week, however schedule might vary. The candidate may be based anywhere.
