Volunteer Your Skills: Foundation for Young Orphans (FYO) is a Christian Non- Government Organization legally recognized with registration no S.5914/5864 is located in Lubaga - Kampala the capital city of Uganda. We are a non-profit making organization legally registered in Uganda in 2005. We help restore the lives of orphans and widows by enhancing provision of physical and emotional support. However we are not a child sponsorship organization –We are an operation that runs through the generosity of organizations, corporations and individuals.
We exist to love, serve, and assist orphaned, abandoned and incarcerated children. We direct volunteers, donations, and financial resources to assist orphans around the country. We pray that orphans' lives will be eternally changed, and that they will, as adults, serve in their homelands to improve the lives of other orphans.
We are looking for seasoned professionals to join our growing network of volunteers.
The Graphic Designer volunteer is a virtual/online role that is responsible for the design of a brochure, annual report, or identity system on a Print or Branding/Naming project. Calendars, post cards, Create flyers, protest signs, and other materials for programs and events. Interact with the Director and Administrator, as appropriate to confirm and understand what is required and to revise in line with comments and suggestions
A successful Graphic Designer has three or more years experience in graphic design at an agency or as an internal graphic designer. In this role, you should have extensive experience with print design, graphics production, and be familiar with relevant design and production tools (i.e. PhotoShop, Illustrator, QuarkXPress, Adobe InDesign, DreamWeaver, or equivalents). Excellent writing and proof-reading skills necessary. Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and meet deadlines
