For the sixth year, we are organising three international summer youth camps
Volunteers are welcome from all over the world to join this development action in favor of rural and unprivileged communities
Summer camps are designed for every individual interested in development and education.
Tasks include planting, water collection, cleaning, artistic performance, organisation, cooking, dancing, learning, teaching etc... Every one participates in the activities while learning from local communities.
Three main cities have been selected for this year's event!
1-Bassar: 15 July - 5 August 2007
Activity: tree-planting and city sanitation
Participants: 25
Situated at about 300 km from Lome, the city offers everything necessary for a delightful and exciting stay. beautiful landscapes, farming, interesting markets bargainings, traditional dances are what can be seen and heard in Bassar.
Participants will plant trees on a community land and clean main places of the city along with the local branch of JVE in Bassar.
2- Kpele Tsiko : 10 August - 2 September 2007
Activity: Promotion of Cultural Bodiversity
Participants : 25
Kpele Tsiko is a rural villages situated at 150 km from Lome the capitale. It is located beneath a wonderful mountain and is in the center of the greenest region of Togo. An American Hospital, telephone and internet facilities, electricity and other vital facilities are available. This year event is the second celebration of local culture through dances, songs, forest visit, local games, discussion with elders, story telling, conferences, debates, tree planting etc... Aneho: one of the first city of Togo will host 20 young people for a cleaning and tree planting activities
Mango: Situated at the far north of the country, Mango is suffering from desertification. Special techniques in keeping the soils while using less pesticide in agriculture will be taught. Various games will be organised in the villages
Participation fees are 200 Euros for each participant (120.000 F CFA). Volunteers are provided with food, accomodation, transportation to the main city, touristic visits and necessary needs. Part of the money if possible will support main activity of the camp.

After the camps, participants can stay in the city for further activities or help in our office or make some tour of the country.
