AARP Tax-Aide Counselors

Description:

Each year, in Massachusetts, over 550 AARP Tax-Aide counselors prepare taxes for over 20,000 residents. They help mainly low-income and elderly people who need help filing their taxes and help people pay lower taxes or get back bigger refunds.
Counselors are IRS-trained and are ready to help people come February each year. New counselors are encouraged to apply anytime of the year, with trainings available late fall into January.

According to a recent survey, 96% of AARP Tax-Aide found satisfaction with their experience. Many stay with the program year after year, some for 15 years or more.
