Agriculture Volunteers

Description:

Volunteers will assist in planting, clearing, farming and harvest of Horticultural products, volunteer with knowlegde of organic farming, new farming mehtods, extension services will be highly required, this is an on-going activity, volunteers will be using English language and working 8 hours Mon-Fri and Morning Hours on Sat
Knowledge of English is compulsory.
We encourage groups of volunteers to apply.

Fees:
1 - 2 months Euros 600
3 - 4 months Euros 1200
5 - 6 months Euros 1800

The fee covers meals and accommodation only.

Food and Accommodation:
PIVS will provide a variety of foodstuffs available locally and the community will guide the volunteers on the local food culture. Volunteers will prepare their own meals in turn using firewood and charcoal. There will be a prescribed menu with a balanced diet i.e. Carbohydrates, Vitamins and Proteins. Volunteers will be accommodated at a house within the campsite. It is likely that there is no shower and modern toilet and that volunteers will sleep on the floor to experience complex development challenges and will be expected to climb down to the level of the host community. The volunteers will be guided on the customs and conduct and should not strive to portray living standards beyond their means.
