Armed Forces Emergency Services Program (AFES)

Description:

Volunteers respond to military members and their families when they need emergency messages sent, ie. birth, death of family member etc. Time committment is as needed. Must be able to convey confidential information and sensitive news to family members. Must have good telephone skills and be able to follow directions and fill out forms clearly. Must complete Red Cross volunteer orientation as well as art of helping course, basic casework, access to financial assistance as well as more.
