Construction Supervisor

Description:

This is a long term volunteer position lasting from 3 months to one year in a disaster ministry setting. Volunteers receive housing in a three bedroom house with other long term volunteers, a $400 monthly stipend and a vehicle to use during working hours.

Skills needed for this position are general home repair and rebuilding skills. The ability to assess and plan a home rebuild on a variety of house styles in New Orleans is required. This person should be able to determine materials, tools, and supplies needed for each worksite and plan accordingly.
As needed, the ability to instruct and direct weekly volunteers is also a key component of this position.
Travel to and from New Orleans is up to the individual. Once in New Orleans, off hour transportation is up to the individual. Food and personal items are also up to the individual.
