We are a young Seattle-based non-profit, the Community Empowerment Network, that helps rural communities in developing countries obtain the skills they need to access and utilize information so that they can drive their own sustainable economic and social development initiatives. We are entirely staffed by (approximately 45) volunteers. As we've grown we recognize that we need to better nurture and develop their talent, which recognizing the high turnover that is inherent with volunteers. He'd like someone who can focus on HR-type functions, such as: • Facilitate development and management of virtual teams, including development of training methodology and materials for staff. • Assist with programmatic aspects of Board recruitment and development • Assist with volunteer recruitment and development - for example complete a Create a volunteer intake process • Coordinate the development of HR norms and procedures and document them in a manual • Identify what tools needed to facilitate • Train, including possible on-line training In a nutshell, we needs someone who is focused on developing our organization's human resources and helping us ensure that their volunteer experience is meaningful for them.
